The Earthflyer

Dirk Gion has begun his sportive discovery trips early: Already at 19 he crossed Germany and France on horseback. Prior to an adventurous journey through the Rocky Mountains, he circled Australia with a motor cross bike in 1988. To this day his urge to face sportive challenges has not ceased. Following these daring projects the year 2004 brings the crossing of Australia on a skateboard. The “Earthflyer” maintains his discovery spirit in his work: as a film maker he has been documenting his challenges and those of others for 14 years for TV and radio, always on the boarderline. His documentations from the USA and South Africa have been recognized and awarded internationally.
